- Q:How to determine the type of processor in your Mac?
- A:1. Visit the "About This Mac" window, In the Finder, choose "About This Mac" from the "Apple" menu.
2. Look at the Processor line to see which kind of processor is in your Mac. - Q:Does your DVD Copy program support DVD5 to DVD9 compression?
- A:No, this program can only do an original copy job, such as DVD5 to DVD5, DVD9 to DVD9, which means you need to use DVD disc with the same or larger capacity to copy DVD.
- Q:What does D5 or D9 mean?
- A:They refer to different types of disks in capabilities. D5 disk should have about 4.7GB free space on the disk while D9 should have double of that capability. D9 is just another name for double-layer disk which is more widely used by people.
- Q:How can DVD Copy program backup DVD?
- A:DVD Copy will take two steps to backup DVD. The first step is to copy original DVD's data entirely to your computer's hard drive. Then it will ask you to insert a blank DVD disc. You can reject the original DVD and insert a blank disc to start to burn the data in your computer hard drive onto the disc.
- Q:Can DVD copies be played on a standard DVD Player?
- A:DVD copies made by iSkysoft DVD Copy can be played on a standard DVD Player, provided the DVD Player supports DVD-R or DVD-RW discs. Most DVD Players manufactured within the last few years, support these standards. Refer to your DVD player owner's manual for more information.
- Q:Is your program able to copy and backup any DVD movies? Does it mean it will also clone all encrypted movies?
- A:Generally, most of encrypted movies, which are in CSS protection, will be supported by our program. But it is hard to promise that all DVD movies can be decrypted by our program since CSS is just one of the technical ways to encrypt DVDs. Since it is widely used among current DVD movies, most of DVDs will be supported and you can finish the clone of them by our program.
- Q: How long does it take to copy a DVD with DVD COPY?
- A: Some newer model computers can copy a DVD movie in two hour or less. Older computers may take a little longer, depending on the speed of their processor and DVD burner.
- Q:I was half way through ripping a disk and I got a "Copy Canceled error."
-
A:1.Copy canceled errors are normally caused by IO problems. Is the disk damaged in anyway? If so, try another DVD Movie.
2. Did you open the drive, or attempt to "play the DVD movie" while it was being copied? If so, don't and try it again.
3.Is there enough free disk space? We recommend at 10 gigs. - Q:What does DVD folders mean?
- A:When we talk about DVD folders, we are focusing on the folders and files structure that we see when browsing a DVD on the Mac. If you open a DVD on your Mac, you will see two folders on the DVD disc, "Video_TS" and "Audio_TS". And in the "Video_TS" folder, you can find VOB files, BUP files and IFO files. They are all necessary things to form a standard DVD. Our software will help you copy DVD movies down and saved them on your hard drive in this way. It is necessary when there are no empty disks available in DVD copying jobs. It is also a way to backup DVDs on your hard drive so that you can finish the job burning to the writable disk in the future.
